Cumberland Riverfront, Nashville. TN. July 27, 2012.
I’ve never verified it myself, but I’ve been told that when the Cumberland is low (as it is above), if take a kayak under the current concrete structure, you can still see the remnants of the old docks.
Citizen, by Thomas Sayre. Nashville, TN.
I am still not 100% sold on Sayre’s work at the public square, but it’s growing on me. A mindblowing sunset and thunderstorm in the background helps.
Pizza stand, Nashville, TN. July 3th, 2012.
This pizza truck was lit quite festively and was playing a stream of rat pack era italian-american music. I don’t know why, but it cheered me up. Possibly, this had something to do with the contrast of the music playing on the actual stage at the time, which i can only describe as “america rock”. I’ll take Dean Martin, thanks.
